Federal officials at Cyril E. King airport spotted a St. Croix man wanted for attempted murder in Florida Monday.

Abijah Antonio Javois, 21, allegedly shot at people sitting in a car in Orange County, Florida, on Nov. 10, according to the sheriffโ€™s department. A warrant was issued three days later.

Port Authority officials arrested Javois around 4:30 p.m. and were holding him before potential extradition to Florida, where he is facing attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle charges.

After an initial arrest Nov. 10, Javois was supposed to surrender to police the next day, according to court records.
