Free Summer Fun for Military Families at the VI Children’s Museum

The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum (VICM) extends a heartfelt invitation to our nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families — including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, US Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps — and up to five family members to join us at the VICM this summer. As part of the Blue Star Museums program, we are pleased to offer free admission until Sept. 1.

Located in Buccaneer Mall, Havensight, St Thomas, our museum is the perfect place for military families to explore, play, and discover together. Valid Military ID required for free entry. Our hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last entry a half hour before closing.

The VICM features interactive exhibits and programs that inspire curiosity and creativity in children of all ages. “We are honored to participate in the Blue Star Museums program and show our support for our active duty military personnel and their families,” said Amber McCammon, VICM Executive Director Facilities & Programs. “We invite military families to visit the VICM and enjoy a fun and educational experience with us this summer.”

Financial sponsors of the Blue Star Museums program are needed to help support this initiative and ensure that military families have access to educational and engaging experiences at the VICM. Those interested in becoming sponsors are encouraged to visit the VICM website at https://www.vichildrensmuseum.org/bluestarmuseums and click on the donation button or email amber@vidhildrensmuseum.org to learn how you can help.
