Relatives and friends are advised of the passing of Elma R. Barnes Hodge on Dec. 11 at the age of 91.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Johanna Joseph; father, Robert Barnes; sister, Louise Barnes Henry; brothers, Alfred Joseph, Arthur Barnes, Henry Barnes; children, Dr. Franklin Barnes, Elton Hodge; grandson, Jamal Hodge; and nephew, Richard Richie Baptiste.
She is survived by her children Lorraine Hodge Schneider, Lucia Hodge Daley, and Joseph Itikma “Hodgie” Hodge, her daughter in law Janet Barnes, her son in law Aluvis Schneider, Sr., and grandchildren: Amiee Barnes, Shereka Hodge Rogers, Shern Hodge, Shakoi Matthias, Kimmonique David, Deaane Schneider, Aluvis Schneider, Jr., Alrick Schneider, Yakima Thomas Rose, Graciano Petersen, III, LaTisha Hodge, Acheem Hodge, RaShan Hodge, Jahzera Lewis, Jamila Hodge.
Her great grandchildren are Briana M Cain, Giovanni L. Hodge, Shane Rogers, Shaniqua Thomas, KeShawn Davis, Maleah Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Allison Phipps, Joel Schneider, Johanna Schneider, Joy Schneider, Jael Schneider, Raynisha N. Kidd, Kenley Celiscar, Maiya Rose, Tanaya Bodie, Amari Jean Paul, Calen Hodge, Ellis Hodge.
Her great-great grandchildren are Uzziah Mike, Mack A. Holt, Matilda Kidd, Nyla Celiscar.
Her nieces and nephews are Charles Buddy Henry, Jr., Vivian Sunshine Henry, Sherese Potter, Samayah Potter, De’Vonte Potter.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend first viewing on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025 at Celestial Chapel of Dan Hurley Home for Funerals 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 10 at Memorial Moravian Church. Viewing is 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with service to follow immediately at 10 a.m. Interment Eastern Cemetery.
