Alma Christina Leung Dies at 75

Alma Christina LeungAlma Christina Leung of 398 Strawberry Hill died peacefully on Feb. 11. She was 75 years old. She was born in Trinidad to Cyril Rees and Christina Edwards (deceased).

She is survived by her husband, Albert Leung; daughters: Olana Leung-Victor, Paula Leung-Kressley, Faye Leung-Gardner, Ria Leung, Empress Gail Leung, Kimlin Leung; sons: Albert Rees and Brian Leung; adopted daughters: Sandra Phaire and Marjorie Belardo; adopted sons: Orville James, Albin Alleyne and Eric Douglas; daughter-in-law, Juliet Rees; grandchildren: Johnathan “Abbie” Leung-Massicott, Keisha Leung, Nia Victor, Ashlee Douglas, Kimberly Alleyne, Julien Alleyne, Troy and Jody, Joshua Rees, Rachael Lewis; Richard Lewis, Steve Gardner Jr.; Jerry Leung-McQuilkin, Brian Jr. and Briana Leung; and great-grandchildren: Orsure Leung, Dante Walker and Addisha Heskey. She is also survived by sons-in-law: Elvis Victor, Robert Kressley Jr. and Steve Gardner; sister, Euphemia Browne; brothers, Vernon Rees; brother-in-law, Fitzgerald George Smith; sisters-in-law: Ruby Smith, Joan Reesand Octavia Rees. Other survivors include nieces: Natashia, Sonia, Donaleiz, Pearl, Jenny, Diane and Patsy Rees, Liesel Browne-Hancock, Cheryl, Shermin and Marcia Smith; nephews: Conrad, Hayden, Ulric, Ronald and Andre Rees and Anselm Smith; other relatives: the Ramsey family, Murren family, McKnight family, Harper family and many others too numerous to mention. Other survivors are special friends: Velda Massiah, Rita Jacobs, Pearl Thomas, Yasmin Ramcharan, Wanda Morris, Linda Todman, Maxine and Ira Bowry and others too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Barren Spot. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
All arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
