VI Lottery Ticket Celebrates Local Flowering Beauty

The newest Virgin Islands Lottery ticket celebrates the colorful and beautiful flowers of the Virgin Islands. Hot pink bougainvillea, bright yellow Christmas candles, striking red birds of paradise and the sci-fi looking passion fruit blossoms are just some of the flowers featured on the ticket. How many flowers can you name on your daily trip to work or school? Would you recognize a flamboyant? How about the yellow allamanda, anthurium, petria or torch inger? Get your Flowers Lottery Ticket and test your knowledge.
The Virgin Islands floral ticket is on sale now and draws on Thursday, Aug. 4. Tickets are available in front of the VI Lottery office and at dealers outside any VI Lottery office, Anna’s Market, Udder Delight, Caribana, MoneyGram locations and other dealers.
This ticket is a continuation of the Lottery’s History and Heritage series of tickets featuring images of life in the Virgin Islands. Past tickets have featured St. Croix Ag Fest, Frenchtown, Virgin Islands Architecture and St. John Carnival.
The most popular ticket to date is “Lucky You,” featuring 19 Virgin Islanders showing their “lucky face.” Anyone 18 and older can enter a photo online at www.usvilottery.com. Photos selected for the ticket will receive $25. The photo with the most votes on the “Lucky You” gallery page on the Lottery site will win $100. Visit and vote often.
