Mango Tango Art Gallery will host a celebratory event from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday Dec. 3. The Holiday Gift Show will mark the beginning of the gallery’s housing everything in one location on Raphune Hill. It will be an evening of music, raffles, and great new works by Mel McCuddin and Kat Stevens. Internationally acclaimed artist McCuddin has created four miniatures on paint top cans, framed in natural wood, culminating in six-inch square masterpieces. Local artist Kat Stevens expands her Heart of Palm Series, a charming grouping of tropical critters created from palm fronds.
Gallery co- owner Jane Coombes said, “One great thing for everyone is that our returning to one location has helped us designate a treasure trove of framed and unframed prints that will be offered at considerable savings. In addition to tropical prints, a sale table of original paintings on papyrus from the Cairo Museum will be offered.”
The band 2 Blue Shoes will play original and interpretive rock ‘n’ roll at the rum-punch reception. Kat Stevens will be at the show to discuss her unique art form.
