Obituary for Merlin Warner- Joseph Dies at 62

Merlin Veronica Warner-JosephMerlin Veronica Warner – Joseph of Strawberry Hill died on Dec. 6, at the Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 62 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Athil James Coolie Joseph; sons: Steve and Calvert (Kal) Joseph; daughters: Alicea and Natalie Joseph; grandchildren: Nellisa Benjamin, Jaden and Austin Joseph, Kye’ara, Jalen and Dontae-Kareem Verderber; sisters: Daisy Williams (SKB) and Jeanette Cannonier; brothers: Leonard, Leroy, Kenneth, Mervin, Raymond and Albertis Warner; sisters-in-law: Matilda, Christiana, Marcella, Raynetta and Esmie Warner, and Josephine and Celina Joseph; and brothers-in-law: James Cannonier, Leslie, Sylvan and GlendelJoseph. She is also survived by nieces: Sandra Forbes, Eloise, Gerly, Arlene, Charmaine, Keisha, Camille and Jenee’ Warner, Jacqueline Martin, Susan and Judy Bowery, Jasmine, Tota, Karen Gonzalez, Alia Joseph-Bancey, Octavia and Jeneel Joseph; and nephews: Ricardo, Leroy, Lennox and Andy Williams, Dwight Cannonier, Wayne, Leonard Jr, Carl, Raymond, Meldon, Keshaun, Shawn, Elroy, Stenneth, Sylvester, George and Calvert Warner, Michael, Alvin, Kendel, Alvin, David and Glendel Joseph, Dwayne Adolphine and Mark Williams. Other survivors include close cousins: Roma David, Cynthia Thibou, Viola Akers, Jean Hypolite, Nesta Edinborough, Christine Joseph, Jean Kelley, Alice Pemberton, Gwendolyn Knight, Mary and Josephine Weeks, and Claude and Ann Flemming; special friends: Sheila Blake, Mauretta Flemming, Mr. Prince (Bushman), Monica McKinney, Michael Rey, Blanche Rawlings and family, Vera Louis, Floretta Kirby, Norris Chambers and family, Reynaldo Rose, Juliette Sentino, Joseph Seaton and family, Everton Prince, Josephine Bradshaw, Ambrose Boland, the Francis family, and William and Madjeski Lewis; as well as many, many family and friends too numerous to mention. Many special thanks to Dr. Potts, Dr. Park, Dr. Manning and the Gov. Juan F. Luis Intensive Care Unit team.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
