Here’s what’s on tap at the V.I. Legislature this week.

Shots were fired Thursday night in Estate Carlton, leaving a man with a gunshot wound to the hand, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Yusef Salaam brought his story, highlighted in Ken Burns' documentary "The Central Park Five,"  to the Virgin Islands, making appearances throughout the weekend. WJTX will air the film Saturday at 7 p.m.

 A competition to select dancers to perform at the 165th Emancipation Celebration on St. Croix will be held. The competition will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, at Island Center.

St. Croix’s future scientists gave the public a peek at their research Thursday and Friday at the annual STEM fair at the Sunshine Mall.

Federal agents arrested V.I. Police officer Angelo Hill on Friday, charging him with conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

 The Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands Committee of Bar Examiners has announced the following applicants have passed the V.I. Bar Examination, which was given on Feb. 27-28.

 In an effort to celebrate National Home Ownership Month, the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) is gearing up to host the 2013 Housing Expo. Now in its third year, the Expo promises to provide the enlightening experience that existing and potential home owners have come to expect.

 The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will close its business offices throughout the territory on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.
