Uniform Debt Management Services Act Approved in the Virgin Islands

The Uniform Debt-Management Services Act was signed into law by Governor John P. deJongh Jr. last Wednesday. The act was the result of a multi-year study into debt relief options for consumers. It is the first national effort at providing uniform rules to govern both consumer credit counseling services and debt settlement services.

So Far, McDonald’s Has Sold 1,778 Big Macs in V.I. to Benefit Haitian Victims

McDonald's restaurants, operated by Arcos Dorados on St. Thomas and St. Croix, has reached a total of 1,778 Big Mac sandwiches sold as part of a campaign to raise funds for the earthquake victims in Haiti. Campaign runs through Friday, Jan. 22.
