Transportation Is Available for Parents Attending Education Summit

Aug. 4, 2008 – Transportation will be provided for parents who have registered for participation at the "Empowering Parents and Community toward Educational Excellence" Summit on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at St. Thomas' Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa and on Thursday, Aug. 7, at St. Croix's Divi Carina Bay Resort on St. Croix, according to a press release from Education Commissioner Dr. La Verne Terry.
Any parent that is registered to attend but has no means of transportation to and from the event is asked to be at any of the following pick up points for transport to the summit.
Those on St. Thomas – Nisky Center in front of Subway, the bus shed in front of the Schneider Regional Medical Center or the courtyard at Four Winds Plaza.
Those on St. Croix – Educational Complex or Pueblo at Golden Rock.
Transportation will be available at 7 a.m. and depart promptly at 7:30 a.m., at all locations.
