Man Wounded by Gunshot at Mutual Homes

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Croix are investigating the nonfatal shooting of a man that occurred Sunday in the Mutual Homes apartments.

According to the V.I. Police Department, the victim told officers he was standing on the steps of building 39 in the public housing community a few minutes before 8 p.m. when he heard two shots and realized he had been shot in the buttocks.

The victim said he did not know who shot him. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau interviewed the victim and continue to investigate this case.
