Burned Body Found in Torched Vehicle

A badly burned human body was found at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Ha’Penny Beach parking lot on St. Croix, the V.I. Police Department announced Sunday.

Criminal Investigation Bureau and Major Crime detectives are investigating.

Detectives said the body was inside an SUV. Police collected items at the scene they hope will assist them in identifying the body.
