One Minor Dead, One Wounded in Frederiksted Shooting

Two 17-year-old males were shot on Frederiksted's Ann E. Abramson Pier on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m., leaving one dead and one wounded, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Police are investigating the possibility that the deceased and the wounded victim may have been suspects in a robbery that was reported from the same area that night.

The second shooting victim was apprehended by police officers several blocks away. He also received medical treatment.

Major Crime Unit detectives are actively investigating this case. Anyone with any information about the shooting or the circumstances surrounding the shooting is urged to contact detectives at 712-6037, 712-6077 or you can call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Gee, why don't tourists want to come down here again?

See that, a couple of youngsters waiting for a cruise ship to come in. We need more hospitality courses.

Good! I'm glad to see those two punks got what they deserve. You live by the sword, you DIE by the sword. We need to wipe scum like that off the planet so that GOOD people can live safe and free.

The only one I feel sorry for is the man who shot them... There's no such thing as self defense in the court of law and you know he will be jailed for defending himself.
