Traffic Detour Scheduled for Wednesday in Christiansted Town

 Rotating Equipment Corp., will be installing a fire hydrant on Hospital Street, near the old Army Barracks, on Wednesday, Sept. 26, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the V.I. Water and Power Authority.
A section of Hospital Street, between East Street and New Street, will be closed to through traffic from 6 p.m. on Wednesday to 2 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27. No water interruptions are expected during this time.
To ensure the safety of the crew, pedestrians and other motorists in the area, motorists are asked to drive cautiously and follow all traffic directions. WAPA appreciates the understanding of the public during this capital water service enhancement project.
