DLCA Releases Latest Gas Price Survey

The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) is notifying the public of its latest territory-wide gas price survey findings. The survey was completed on Aug. 8 on St. Thomas and Aug. 9 on St. Croix and St. John.The gas survey is designed to inform consumers on which stations offer the best fuel prices.  
          `The latest rack rate price change reported by Hovensa effective Aug. 6 through Aug. 12 indicates an increase on regular fuel by .6 cent per gallon and an increase on premium fuel by .3 cents per gallon. Diesel fuel remains unchanged.
St. Croix
The lowest prices found on St. Croix for full service gasoline were $4.59 for premium and $4.09 for regular. The lowest prices for self service gasoline were $3.95 for premium and $3.54 for regular. The lowest price for diesel fuel was $4.09 per gallon.
The following table indicates where consumers can find the lowest prices for gasoline in the St. Croix District.
Full Service Welco Gas Station Premium: 4.599 and LaReine Service Station Regular: 4.099
Self Service Choice Service Station Premium: 3.959 and Supreme Service Station Regular: 3.549
Deisel Cruzan Petroleum, Gas City, One Love Service Station, Super Tank Service Station: 4.099
 
The highest prices found on St. Croix for full service gasoline were $4.99 for premium and $4.89 for regular. The highest prices for self service gasoline were $4.39 for premium and $3.79 for regular. The highest price for diesel fuel was $4.81 per gallon.
St. Thomas
On St. Thomas findings indicate one station offering full service fuel. At this station, premium is offered at $4.99 per gallon and $4.67 per gallon for regular fuel. The lowest prices for self service fuel were $4.29 for premium and $4.35 for regular. The lowest price for diesel fuel was $4.40 per gallon.
Full Service Total Gottleib (Contant) Premium: 4.999 and Regular: 4.679
Self Service Boynes Trucking (Lindbergh Bay) Premium: 4.299 and Giant Gas, One Stop, Race Track Regular: 4.359
Deisel Total Gottleib: 4.409
          The highest prices for self service gasoline were $5.09 for premium and $4.99 for regular. The highest price offered for diesel fuel was $4.99.
St. John
Findings represent prices for the only gas station on St. John, E&C self service station.
Self Service E&C Premium: 4.839 and Regular: 4.439
Deisel: E&C: 4.869
