Agenda:
The committee has scheduled the first meeting as per Resolution 1774, calling for an Economic Summit. This measure was unanimously adopted by members of the 29th Legislature. The Economic summit will convene to analyze the financial and Economic data affecting revenues and spending practices of the Government of the Virgin Islands.

Bill No. 29-0314 – An Act amending Title 14, V.I.C., chapter 33, by criminalizing sexual relations by prison or dtenetiion facility employees, contractors and vendors with detainees
Bill No. 29-0298 – An Act amending Title 3, V.I.C., chapter 14, by requiring the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to issue Virgin Islands Disabled Persons Identification Cards

Bill No. 29-0239 – An Act amending Title 14, V.I.C., chapter 86, to expand the laws of the territory regarding the monitoring and tracking of sex offenders within this jurisdiction with the purpose of affording greater protection for the people of the V.I. from sexual exploitation and violent crime, preventing child abuse and child pornography, promoting Internet safety and educating the community about sex offenders, and for other purposes
Bill No. 29-0309 – An Act amending Title 3, V.I.C., chapter 7, section 97, by instituting staggered terms for members of the V.I. Board of Education and reinstate a residency requirement, and amending Title 17, V.I.C., chapter 33, section 455 (1) by authorizing the chairman of the V.I. Board of Education to appoint a designee to the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees and the V.I. Public Television System
Bill No. 29-0338 – An Act honoring and commending Audie Enrique Henneman and to name the gymnasium at the Bertha C. Boschulte School the “Audie Enrique Henneman Gymnasium”
Bill No. 29- An Act amending Title 28, V.I.C., chapter 23, adding section 543a relating to the purchase of real property at judicial foreclosures sales
Bill No. 29-0342 – An Act amending Title 3, V.I.C., chapter 5, section 65a by adding subsection (e) allowing the governor to fill vacancies on boards and commissions when the vacancy requires the appointment of a commissioner or division head
