DHPR Reschedules Kids Fishing Tournament

The Kids Fishing Tournament that was scheduled to be held this Saturday, June 16, at the Christiansted Wharf has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on next Saturday, June 23, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation.
The Kids Fishing Tournament is the 2012 close-out activity for the department’s Take Me Fishing After-School Program that has been ongoing throughout the year. The department encourages families to participate in the event in recognition of Virgin Islanders long, historical and cultural ties to fishing.
