The Creque Dam Farm staff invites the public to its Slow Down Dinner Experience, featuring six courses of their certified organic produce and locally-sourced meat or fish. This month it will be celebrating the Spring Equinox, and the equality of day and night. The next Slow Downs are Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21.
The dinner is by suggested donation, $60 per person. An additional gratuity goes to support the staff of farmers that will serve the supper. Donations have been instrumental in the farm’s ability to pursue its four pillars: education, environment, sustainability and community.
All guests should arrive at 6 p.m.; the dinner is BYOB. Directions to the farm are listed on the Web site, and if people have any dietary restrictions, they should let Creque Dam Farm know when they make their reservation.

The VI Locally Grown Market — For those who don’t already have an account on VI Locally Grown, an account can be set up following these simple steps:
1. Go to vi.locallygrown.net and create an account; no credit card is required.
2. Wait until the market opens at 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 14 to make reservations. To make more than one reservation, simply change the quantity in your shopping cart. Reservations will end when Creque Dam Farm is booked or at the latest by the weekly market close, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The reservations are free; the suggested donations of $60 per person plus gratuity are taken on the night of the dinner.
3. Visit the VI Locally Grown to purchase food for your own kitchen with your reservations. If you need to make a change in your reservations, e-mail rebecca@visfi.org at least 48 hours prior to the dinner so the farm can fill the seat (Please note: no-shows result in a $20 account fee per seat as seating is intimately limited).
4. Come early (before 6 p.m.) to take a self-guided farm tour of the farm.
