Ernest Edbert Oliver Quinland, also known as "Cowboy," of Antigua, formerly of Clifton Hill, died Monday, Nov. 27 at Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at Ebenezer Methodist Church. A viewing will proceed the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will take place at Kingshill Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Sybil Lewis Quinland, Cathrine Quinland, Mariana Jenieta Quinland, and Josephine Quinland; sons, Jerimiah "Jah Youth" Quinland, Leroy "Codney" Sylvester Quinland, and Levi Quinland; 22 grandchildren including, Josephine, Shaquille, Iomah Massiah, Shelinda, Debbie, Patricia, Cordell, Davian, Donna, Tito, James, Hilton, Ronney, Sharon, and Natasha; 11 great-grandchildren including, Rhys, Ashley and Aaron Meade, Shaphon, Sama, Etahie Toveet, and Natanah Acoy.
He is also survived by his brothers, Ventora James, Marrison Appleton, and Roy Connor; nieces, Sarah Connor, Maxine Greenaway, Delares James, Jacklyn James Goldene Hodge, Ennesta Walker, Mrs "Baby Gal" Moore, Magretta Laudat; nephews, Steven Connor, Ian Appleton, George James, and Herbert James; sister-in-law, Christine James; relatives, Merril Twaites, the Bailey family, the Cornwall family, the Goodwin family, the Appleton family, the Horsford family, the March family, the Walker family, the Moore family, the James family, the Ramsey family, the Southwell family, the West family, the Hill family, and the Connor family; along with close friends, Rose Christopher, Catherine Semper, Vera Tuitt, Matilda Malone, Cecil Barry, Ann Greenaway, Genevieve Brown, Murphy, Leah, Mon Greenaway, Mildred Williams and Naomi Joseph; and many other relatives and friends.
