St. Croix Landmarks Society to Present Its 2009 World Music Concert Series

St. Croix Landmarks Society presents World Music Under the Stars. The Summer Concert Series at Whim. explore the cultural music traditions of St. Croix’s Latin, American, and Afro-Caribbean heritage. The 2009 concert line-up includes traditional West African music on Saturday, July 11, featuring Papa Susso on Kora.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Ticket holders are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets. There will be local-themed food vendors and a SCLS cash bar.
Tickets will be available beginning on June 23. General Admission tickets (under the stars) are $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Limited number of tickets will be available under the tent for $30 and only available at the Whim Museum Store.
General Admission tickets can be purchased at: Cultural Creations, Frederiksted; Whim Museum Store, Frederiksted; Music Authority, Sunny Isles; Starfish Patisserie, Sunny Isles; Riddims Music, Christiansted; and Undercover Books, Gallows Bay.
