Innovative Wins 2011 Business of the Year Award

On Saturday, Nov. 5, Innovative was awarded the 2011 St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Business and Professional Excellence Award for Business of the Year.
Each year, the chamber recognizes businesses and business owners who have made a positive impact on the community. Businesses were nominated on the following: delivery of high-quality customer service, products and services; demonstrated leadership with employees, clients and within its specific industry; creating and sustaining employment opportunities and proof of active, positive involvement in the community.
At the gala, Seth R. Davis, CEO and president of the Innovative Companies said, “Tonight, on behalf of the Innovative family of companies and its employees, I cannot express how proud we are of our accomplishments over the past year. We are even more proud to be named the 2011 Business of the Year. This award says to our Innovative family of over 450 employees that the community in which we live and work appreciates our efforts.”
Davis continued his remarks by discussing Innovative’s goals and achievements to date. “Innovative’s modernization project is a four-year plan to address the need for new modern services and to improve the reliability of voice, video and high-speed data offerings throughout the Virgin Islands. In order for us to achieve our goals, many of which we are well on the way to completing, we had to reengage our employee team members by establishing and offering training and professional development opportunities, upgrade support systems from billing, customer care, finance and other services. We have designed and brought to market new product offerings and packages. We are essentially rebuilding Innovative internally and externally,” said Davis.
He expressed his gratitude to the Chamber of Commerce for recognizing their business colleagues and extended congratulations to all the other award recipients. Davis concluded his speech by acknowledging Innovative employees that were at the event representing every department within the Innovative companies.
There were over 200 attendees from every aspect of the business community at the prestigious gala, and presenting the award to Innovative were Gov. John P. deJohng Jr. and Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen, who were also the keynote speakers.
