BROCK STANTON TO ADDRESS AD CLUB

Brock Stanton, web expert, on-line media market consultant, and senior executive of Yahoo!, will address Ad Club members and guests at the monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 12, at Frenchman's Reef on St. Thomas and on Wednesday, October 13 at The Hibiscus Hotel on St. Croix.
Stanton is a pioneer of live event "webcasting" and has produced Internet broadcasts for major sporting events. He has also developed and launched several content channels on the broadcast.com Internet broadcast network.
Broadcast.com was recently purchased by Yahoo!, a global network serving 80 million unique users per month, providing advertisers and merchants the opportunity to promote businesses and products through multi-dimentional audio and video advertising and programming. This acquisition means Yahoo! can now offer expanded services for companies to conduct business and reach larger audiences online . Broadcast.com is a leading provider of turnkey corporation communications on the Web including product launches, seminars, keynote addresses, and shareholder meetings among other things.
Stanton will speak on The Internet: The Medium of the New Millennium. His talk will cover the latest technological developments on the Internet including the marriage of TV, radio and the web. The meeting is sponsored by Cobex-NetCarib.
