St. Thomas Ad Agency Wins Silver Addy Award

May 19, 2009 - The American Advertising Federation (AAF) fourth district presented ad agency and production company, the Lambert Media Team (LMT), with a district Silver Addy Award. The award was given for a radio ad titled "Valentine's Day" for the Virgin Islands Auto Club. "We thought we might do well in the local Addy Award competition, in St. Thomas", said Lou Lambert, president of LMT, "this, however, was a very pleasant surprise." AAF's fourth district combines Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
On April 25, 2009, the Local Addy awards were held on St. Thomas where LMT won a Gold Addy Award in the radio category for "Valentine's Day", a Gold Addy Award and Best of Television Award for "Project Rwanda," and a Silver Addy Award in Television for FirstBank, titled "Dreams."
LMT will now compete with over 1,500 finalists in the national Addy awards. The national jury chair is Rick Carpenter, president, DDB Chicago, who will lead a panel of judges as they choose winners from across the country. The winners will be announced at the National Addy Awards Gala on June 6, in Washington, D.C.
The ADDY Awards is the largest creative, advertising competition in the country with about 55,000 local entries competing in 200 cities coast to coast. Winning at the district level is the second step in competing for a national award. Any entry that wins a gold or silver ADDY at the district level is eligible to advance and compete in the national competition.
This marks the second year in a row that the LMT has received an AAF district Addy Award for radio.
