Oct. 23, 2008 - Is Global Warming contributing to more intense hurricanes? It is a question that is central in the Global Warming debate. Hurricane Omar stopped the V.I. Energy Office, the St. Croix Environmental Association and UVI Marine Advisory Council from shedding some light on that debate on Oct. 17.
However, the movie "Dimming the Sun" has been rescheduled for 7 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 7, at the St. Croix UVI campus in the Great Hall. After the movie, which explores the negative effects of burning fossil fuel, Energy Office staff will be available to answer questions about local energy issues.

"The Dimming of the Sun" investigates the discovery that the sunlight reaching Earth has been growing dimmer, which may seem surprising given all the international concern over global warming.
