Staff members of the Industrial Development Commission staged a job action across the territory Monday, reportedly over low morale and the leadership style of IDC Executive Director Frandelle Gerard.
Employees called in sick Monday and have indicated their desire to have
Gerard removed as head of the commission. One employee who spoke on the condition of anonymity said Monday, "The disrespect Ms. Gerard displays towards the employees is unacceptable."
Other IDC employees said Monday that several staff members recently had expressed their concerns to the governor but had seen no corrective action.
Government House spokesman James O' Bryan Jr. said midday Monday he was attempting to learn more about the IDC' employees job action.
