Society of Historians/ Friends of Denmark to Meet

The Society of Virgin Islands Historians and The St. Croix Friends of Denmark invite the public to a series of four papers to be read at its 33^rdAnnual Meeting,

The topic of the papers is “Casper Holstein (1876-1944): A Man of Influence & Philanthropy in the Virgin Islands.”

This presentation will be a virtual Program via zoom.

The speakers will be:

Ronald Hewitt, social studies teacher, Educational Complex discussing Casper Holstein: His Christiansted Background;

Carl Christensen, former director of the Small Business Administration, discussing Casper Holstein’s New York (Harlem) Background; Chester Williams, former director of the Small Business Administration;

Elizabeth Rezende, president of the Society of Virgin Islands Historians, outlining the events of the V.I. Congressional Council of N.Y.
