Senate: Committee of the Whole Hearing

The Thirty-Second Legislature has scheduled a Committee of the Whole Hearing to receive testimony on the following Coastal Zone Management Permit:
1. Report on Petition to Amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-12 – Application No. ZAG-f 7-11
Petition of Timothy and Mane Granderson to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-12 from R-2 (residential-low density/one and two family) to B-2 (business secondary/neighborhood) for Plot No. 168 Estate Clifton Hill, King Quarter, St. Croix.
(Proposed Use: The relocation from Plot No. 1-C Estate Clifton Hill of the applicants’ business activity, Freight Forwarding Services, with accessory Warehouse & Storage Services (general) [dba Distance Freight]
2. Report on Petition to Amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-1 2 – Application No. ZAC-17-1O
Petition of Timothy E. and Marie J. Granderson to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-12 from C (commercial) to B-2 (business-secondary/neighborhood) for Plot No. 1-C Estate Clifton Hill, King Quarter, St. Croix.
(Proposed Use: The proposal is to first relocate the business activity of Freight Forwarding Services with accessory Warehouse & Storage Services (general) onto Plot No. 168 Est. Clifton Hilt. Secondly is to allow occupancy of the first floor by various business tenants and the second floor by a guesthouse. Thirdly is to report on petition to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-7 — Application No. ZAC-17-7)
3. Petition of Luis and Ludymar Ortiz to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-7 from R-2 (residential low density/one and two family) to R-3 (residential-medium density) for Plot No. 56 of Parcel No. 67 of Estate Mount Welcome, East End Quarter A on St. Croix
(Proposed use: The applicant intends to construct a three-story, two-family dwelling. He will reside in one unit and have the second unit available for family).
4. Report on Petition to Amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-5 – Application No. ZAC-18-1
Petition of Hans Lawaetz requesting that a use variance be granted to the A-i (agricultural zone) Plot No. 2AF Estate Upper Love, Prince Quarter, St. Croix
(Proposed use: To allow the applicant to use the guesthouse as a bed and breakfast)
5. Report on Petition to Amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-1O – Application No. ZAC-17-8
Petition of Jestina Barbour (authorized agent Monique Dass) requesting that a use variance be granted to the R-2 (residential-low density/one and two family) zoned Plot No. 17 of Parcel No. 2 Estate Concordia, West End Quarter, St. Croix
(Proposed use: The authorized agent intends to place two containers on the property, of which one will be used as a bakery and the second will be used as a retail clothing store).
6. Report on Petition to Amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-6 -Application No. ZAC-18-3
Petition of Wendy R. Phoenix, authorized agent, for Plot No. 1O-D Estate Constitution Hill, Queen’s Quarter, St. Croix from R-1 (residential-low density) to R-2 (residential-low density/ one and two family)
(Proposed use: To rezone the property so that it can be consolidated with an adjacent property and then re-subdivided. The adjacent property, Plot No. 1-Baa Est. Constitution Hill, is 0.1149 acres and already zoned R-2).
