Friends of the St. Croix U.S.V.I. National Parks will host a presentation called “The Native Son –Preserving VI History One Collectible at a Time.” Julio Encarnacion III, the chief conservator of the U.S. Virgin Islands, will answer questions about his personal origins and those of The Native Son, such as what sparked his interest and why he has chosen this path. He’ll talk about his mentors, teachers and those who motivated him. He will also explain Danish West Indies history from working on the sugar cane fields of St. Croix and coaling on St. Thomas and the quality of life in those times. Enter through doors opposite the Main Entrance. There will be reserved parking spaces at east end of the lot.
