Fitness Workshop for People With Mental Illness

Roberta Etienne, one of the island’s leading fitness instructors and a member of the VI Triathlon Federation, will lead a fitness workshop to help persons suffering with mental illness and substance abuse to improve mental health through wellness. Aerobic exercise improves mental health and negative mood by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. The hope is that this fitness event will help persons suffering with mental illness achieve recovery through wellness.
