There are only six chances to see “The Revolutionists” by Lauren Gunderson. Show dates are Fridays and Saturdays, May 6-7 and 13-14, at 8 p.m.; and two matinee performances at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 8 and May 15. Denise Blanchette and Malerie Gleason direct the cast of this dramatic comedy. It tells the story of four beautiful, badass women who lose their heads in this irreverent comedy set during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen (and fan of ribbons) Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out, chat and try to beat back the extremist insanity in 1793 Paris.
