A chronological log of the homicides recorded in 2020 in the U.S. Virgin Islands, as reported by the VIPD. Cases are broken down by island. While this list is based on VIPD reports, unlike the police and some media, the Source does not include suicides or vehicular homicides in its listing, which can cause a disparity in the number of incidents reported.

Lorraine Village Killing is Second STX Homicide in a Day

A 26-year-old St. Croix man was was shot and killed at 3:25 p.m. Friday, the second homicide on St. Croix in less than 12 hours, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Man Dies of Gunshot Wounds on STX

A man was killed by gunshots Friday morning at a business in Estate Pearl, the V.I. Police Department reported. The victim was identified by family members as 27-year-old Aaron Joseph.

STX Man Killed in Shooting at Louis Brown Villas

A man was killed Thursday morning after he was shot in an attack in the Louis Brown Villas housing community, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The V.I. Police Department on Tuesday arrested David Semper, age 22 of no fixed address, charging him in a charging him in a a shooting that took place Jan. 19 in Estate Castle Coakley.

Police Investigate Death in Estate Smith Bay

A man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Wednesday night in Estate Smith Bay on St. Thomas. The man later died of his injuries, the V.I. Police Department reported.
