Student Company, Island Glory Craft, Uses Plastic Bags to Make Recyclable Products

Students on St. Croix have been taking the opportunity to implement the “Plastic Bag Ban” by creating recyclable products as one of the main products for their student operated company.

The University of the Virgin Islands Center for Marine and Environmental Science and the VI Sea Turtle Project documented their 100th sea turtle in April.

Sewage Leak in Frederiksted

There has been break in Frederiksted's Lagoon Street Pump Station’s force main near the St. Patrick School and residents are urged to avoid the area if they can while repairs take place. Waste Management Authority officials say repairs to the force main will begin Tuesday, May 9, at 9 a.m.
