Calvert White Sentenced to Five Years

A federal judge sentenced former Sports, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Calvert White on Thursday to serve five years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for his role in a public corruption scheme involving federal funds. White and business owner Benjamin Hendricks were convicted of honest services wire fraud and bribery concerning a federally funded program in July. U.S. District Judge Mark Kearney ordered White to surrender on March 2. Hendricks is set to be sentenced Thursday afternoon.
