Lenington F. Small Dies at 91

Lenington F. Small, a/k/a “Smally” and “Lemme,” of Christiansted, St. Croix died on Dec. 24, 2025.  He was 91 years old.

He is survived by his daughters, Martina Patton, Rose Daniel and Juliana Sheridan; sons, Bertran Small, and Damian Alfreid; grandchildren Carlos Small, Bertrand and Snkinah Small, Aaran Daniel, Jovan Daniel, Jada Daniel, Delan Benjamin, Lezlie Benjamin, Melva Alfreid, Dahlee Alfreid, Annetta Alfreid, Romel Alfreid, and Shaquille Alfreid; great grandchildren, Bertrand Small, Rhianna Small, Mindy Dickson, Henly Dickson, Ivann Dickson, Amalie Lubin and Trent Abraham, Hunter Daniel and Chloe Daniel; granddaughters-in-law, Gloria Small, Robyn Daniel, Natalina Daniel and Maquet Daniel; sons-in-law Larry Daniel and Austin Sheridan; nieces, Venelina Salton, Christine Lambert, Ruth Phillips and Carmela Steiad; nephew, Tony Lamber; godchildren, Pauline Wolf and Lucia Bates; great niece-in-law, Donna Lamber; grandniece, Leilani Fevrier; grandnephews, Ross Boxill, Filbert Salton, Calwin Andrews, Imani Lambert, Nathan Lambert and Marcellus Shiede; special friends, Moses Jerome, Mr. and Mrs. Nock, Mr. and Mrs. Berry, Andre Canal, Ms. Nico and Maura, Marcia Oneale, St. Rose, Riviera Smith, and Sydney Bertin, Mr. and Mrs. Griffith, Winston and Barbara Benjamin and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Memorial services will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church located at 42 Barrenspot Hill. P.O. Box 1160, Kingshill, VI 00851.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schuster’s Crematorium LLC.
