Fire Contained at Lost Dog Pub in Frederiksted; One Safely Evacuated

Virgin Islands Police Department officers and emergency responders secured the scene of a structural fire at the Lost Dog Pub in Frederiksted, St. Croix, around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, after receiving reports through the 911 Emergency Call Center, VIPD announced in a press release.

Responding units arrived to find the commercial building fully engulfed in flames. One individual who was inside at the time was safely evacuated, police said.

Fire crews quickly contained the blaze and prevented it from spreading to nearby structures. WAPA personnel were also called to the scene to secure electrical systems and assess whether the fire may have been linked to an electrical issue, the release stated.

The cause of the fire remains under active investigation. Officials said additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
