Viya customers on St. Croix are experiencing high-speed data service, long distance and Cable TV outages due to a fiber cut in Frederiksted.
Viya’s fiber on St. Croix was accidentally cut by the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA). As a result of the damage to the network, customers throughout St. Croix do not have internet, long distance and Cable TV service.
Its technical team is working diligently on this matter, and the duration of the outage is a direct result of the severity of the damage. Viya will continue to work on the matter until service is fully restored.
