Foreign Language Cultural Showcase Rescheduled

The annual Foreign Language Cultural Showcase scheduled for Saturday, April 16, at the Tutu Park Mall has been re-scheduled to Saturday, May 14, beginning at 10 a.m., according to a press release issued April 12 by St. Thomas-St. John Superintendent of Schools Jeanette Smith-Barry This year’s theme is “Languages Make the World Go Round.”
Foreign language students in the school district are poised to showcase their best projects or posters in the following areas: Copy the Spanish or French Masters, Theme Posters, Piñatas, Replicas of Architectural Wonders of the French or Spanish World, and Technology Projects. Judging of the projects will take place from 11 a.m. to noon. The show segment of the showcase will begin at 1 p.m. Students will sing, dance or recite poetry in Spanish or French during this segment. The exhibits will be on display until 4 p.m. Parents and the public in general are invited to attend.
