National Park Service to Hold Folk Life Festival Feb. 19-21

The management of Virgin Islands National Park will present of its 18th annual Folk Life Festival in commemoration of Black History Month. This year's program will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 19 and 20. It will also be conducted from 5:30-9:30 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the historic Annaberg Sugar Plantation ruins.
Live music for the festival will be provided by "Smalls and the Music Makers" and light traditional snacks and refreshment will be on sale as well.
The theme of the program is "Virgin Islands Culture – 276 Years Towards Self Determination." Admission is free. Discussions will focus on the historical challenges and accomplishments endured and experienced on all three islands.
