Alexys Armando Acosta Dies at 24

Feb. 5, 2008 – Alexys Armando Acosta, better known as "Alex," of Estate Sunny Acres died on Jan. 31, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 24 years old.
He is survived by his son, Alex Acosta Jr.; mother, Carmen Acosta; father, Edelmiro Acosta; grandparent, Elba L. Diaz; companion, Jennifer Deaza; and brothers: Edelmiro Acosta Jr. and Ariel Acosta. He is also survived by aunts: Carmen Melendez, Maria Camacho, Ana Y. Perez and Mercedez Morin; uncles: Freddy, Angel, Enrique and Wilfredo Diaz, Vicente Soto, and Jose Acosta; special friends: Oran, Luisito, Edward, Shawn, Rowan, Melissa, Melvin, Cotes, Lubi, Kevin, Earl, Juliana, Kenneth, Kareem and Mike; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Mourners are asked to wear festive colors.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Alpha Omega Church, Strawberry Hill. It will be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will take place at the Kingshill Cemetery.
