April 23, 2008 – Francisca Nieves Belardo, also known as "Paca," of Estate Whim died on Saturday, April 19. She was 88 years old.
She is survived by her spouse, Carmelo Belardo Romero; daughters: Enelda Zieris and Carmen Asaro; son, Carmelo Belardo Jr.; grandchildren: Emanuel Piazza, Michael Amico, Vincent and Francine Amico, Camille Chistoni, Francesca and Paul Belardo, and Carmelo Belardo III. She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Tongan, Nicole, Vincent, Isabel, Nicholas, Bryan, Michael, Alicia and Liana; sisters: Carmen, Juana and Maria Nieves; special friend, Yuma Velasquez; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 10-11 a.m., on Monday, April 28, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, followed by a funeral service at 11a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
