Gov. Turnbull Nominates Five to St. Croix Hospitals Board

June 1, 2006 — Gov. Charles Turnbull has nominated five V.I. residents to serve three-year terms on the Hospitals and Health Facilities Corporation District Governing Board for St. Croix. Three of the five individuals named are renominations.
The governor nominated former labor Commissioner Carmelo Rivera the board. Rivera, a professor at UVI, is also presently employed by Turner St. Croix maintenance Inc. Rivera replaces Gloria Bell, whose term has expired.
Also nominated is Benjamin Rivera, the former executive director of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce. Benjamin Rivera replaces the Rev. Lester A. White, whose term has expired.
The governor has also renominated businesswoman Frances M. Molloy, human resources specialist Godfrey Fredericks Jr. and high school instructor Wallace WM Phaire.
In his letter to the Legislature, Turnbull requested the prompt and favorable consideration of all five nominees.
