The Virgin Islands Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, in a collaborative effort with St. Thomas community partners Moe’s Fresh Market, Universal Concrete LLC, Tropical Shipping and Construction Co. Ltd. and World Fresh Market LLC, announces that in response to the governor’s state of emergency affected by the aggressive fire at the Bovoni Landfill donations of Gatorade, ice, water and coolers will be provided to the emergency responders working to suppress the fire.

“It’s crucial to show our appreciation to the firefighters and emergency services personnel who are tirelessly working to contain the fire and protect the community,” said DLCA Commissioner Nominee H. Nathalie Hodge. “On behalf of DLCA, the VIFEMS and the Bryan/Roach Administration thank our partners for partnering with us and showing appreciation to the firefighters and emergency services personnel. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the ongoing efforts to manage and resolve this challenging situation.”
