Crime Stoppers: Submit Tips and Solve Crimes

Crime Stoppers USVI needs help and tips from the community to solve crimes. All tips are anonymous.

The VIPD Cold Case Unit is seeking information on the death of Brendalee Melendez Belardo. On June 2, 2007, at around 8:40 a.m. VIPD was dispatched to the Scenic Road area on St. Croix after receiving reports of a body being found. The body was later identified as Brendalee Melendez Belardo, a 30-year-old resident of Estate Campo Rico, Frederiksted. Investigation revealed that Ms. Belardo sustained a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Thursday, July 4, 2019, at approximately 1:24 a.m., law enforcement officers came upon an unresponsive Black male in the area of Subbase, St. Thomas. The male appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to the body. Emergency Medical Technicians concluded that the male did not have any vital signs. Next of kin identified the male as 23-year-old Quinlan Chetram.
