Unlicensed and Traveling With Cocaine

On Tuesday,  a vehicle in the area of Emile ‘Milo” Francis Drive was stopped during police observations for traffic violations. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the V.I. Police Department reported.

A K-9 unit present at the traffic stop alerted officers that there were drugs in the vehicle. A duffle bag with large amounts of packaged narcotics (cocaine) in the vehicle was detected, police said.

Calis Sewer, 24, and Javier Francisco Pimentel Feliciano, 56, were placed under
arrest and charged with possession of illegal narcotics with intent to distribute and trafficking narcotics, police said.

Bail was set at $125,000. Both men were remanded to corrections pending their advice of rights hearing, according to the report.
