Man Shot and Killed in Bolongo on St. Thomas

A man on St. Thomas was shot and killed, marking the territory’s fourth homicide for 2023, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The 911 Emergency Call Center received reports of shots fired in the Bolongo area. Officers responded to the scene and upon arrival, they discovered one victim who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. EMTs arrived on the scene and concluded that the man did not have any vital signs, according to the police report.

The deceased victim was identified as 31-year-old Chandler Heath, the police said.

Heath’s death marks the third homicide on St. Thomas and the fourth for the territory, according to the 2023 Source Homicide List.
