St. Thomas Man Arrested on Assault and Domestic Violence Charges

 

A St. Thomas man was arrested Wednesday on charges of assaulting a former acquaintance, police say.

Bryan Christopher Jr., 23, was arrested for assault, domestic violence, and disturbance of the peace. Christopher allegedly slapped, punched, and kicked a former acquaintance multiple times about the body, causing injury, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Further investigation revealed that Christopher choked the victim during the altercation and threatened her with a knife, according to the report. When the victim attempted to flee, Christopher struck her with a rock on her right shoulder, the report stated.

No bail was granted as per the order of the court. Christopher was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.

This case is under investigation by the Domestic Violence Bureau/CIB. Anyone having information about this crime can notify the bureau at 340-774-2211, ext. 5536.
