The US Virgin Islands Soccer Association’s President Hillaren Frederick and the members of the executive committee will host a FIFA delegation of infrastructure specialists on Saturday, according to a press release issued Friday.

The delegation will be inspecting the Bethlehem Soccer Complex in Estate Bethlehem on St. Croix. Capital improvement projects at the property are funded by a financial assistance program available to members of the FIFA network, according to the release. FIFA Forward Program’s aim is to give custom-designed assistance for soccer development worldwide, it stated.

To date, the total investment in infrastructure at BSC has produced an administration office, a soccer field with lighting and bleachers, locker rooms, public bathrooms, a concession, and cafeteria. The total cost of investment is $2,573,834, the release stated.

FIFA and CONCACAF fully funded all construction and projects. The next immediate plans are to construct a two-story dormitory building of approximately 12,398 square feet with a total of 17 dormitories, including 15 double rooms and two for officials, with a fitness gym on St. Croix. The future goal is to build a soccer academy for elite USVI soccer players, the release stated.

Members of the FIFA delegation are:
