Construction Company Owner Arrested for Grand Larceny

A St. Thomas business owner was arrested and charged on Tuesday with obtaining money by false pretenses and grand larceny, police say.

Anson Gallaway, owner of a construction company, allegedly took more than $200,000 from victims to construct a prefabricated home but did not fulfill the agreement, police said.

Gallaway’s bail was set at $51,000. He posted bail and was released pending his advice of rights hearing scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, at the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
