Two Injured on St. Croix in Late Night Shooting

A male and female were shot on St. Croix while driving on Melvin H. Evans Highway late last night, according to the VIPD. The couple called 911 on their way to the Juan F. Luis Hospital at 11:32 p.m. to report the shooting.

According to the VIPD dispatched to the hospital, the victims were driving on Melvin H. Evans Highway near Estate Paradise in the eastbound lane, at which point a cream-colored Chevy Equinox allegedly fired multiple shots into the victims’ vehicle. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds but are both in stable condition.

VIPD canvassed the area and found several shell casings, but there is presently no information on any suspects, and the VIPD continues investigating the case.
