Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 85 and isolated showers, then scattered showers and thunderstorms, after noon. Winds will be from the east at 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 75 and scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3 a.m. Winds will be from the east-northeast at around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
There is a moderate risk of rip currents for most of the local beaches. An upper trough will deepen northeast of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands through much of the workweek. The trough aloft will enhance the trade wind showers every morning as well as strong thunderstorm development each afternoon. Urban and small-stream flooding will remain possible each day. Winds will increase across the local area after Wednesday.
